Goat Island Dive Trips

Goat Island Marine Reserve, just 1 hr north of Auckland offers divers a taste of how our oceans used to be. The marine reserve is the breeding ground for marine life, feeding the Leigh coastline with an abundance of life with great diving experiences.

Spend the afternoon snorkeling or diving the famous marine reserve in comfort onboard Outer Gulf Charter dive charter boat. Our snorkel and dive sites are inaccessible from the shore therefore the fish life is abundant!

Goat Island has some of the best snorkeling and diving in New Zealand - it's coastline provides a great dive experience for all levels. You will be surrounded by big snapper, crayfish, blue cod, goatfish, piper, eagle rays, parore, red moki and much! All this marine life is protected - including the Kina (sea urchins).

Trip price

Certified divers $120- Full equipment hire $100, 2 Tanks and weights $55
Snorkelers $120- including full equipment hire (mask, snorkel, fins and wetsuit)
Sightseers $100- Come along and enjoy the day onboard
Refresher Course $245

Divers must provide either log book or certification card before diving (if you have misplaced these items please speak to our staff).

Group Bookings

Dive Groups/Clubs - 'Apollo' can be hired for Goat Island at $1,450 inc GST per day (16 divers). Multi-day trips to Great Barrier can be arranged upon request at $1,850 per day
