Goat Island Dive & Snorkel, Leigh is ideally located 3km from Goat Island Marine Reserve on the Matakana Coast, just one hour north of Auckland CBD, New Zealand.
How to get to Goat Island Dive & Snorkel:
No bus service is available to the township of Leigh so your own transport is necessary. Drive north on State Highway 1 over Auckland Harbour Bridge to Orewa. Continue on this Highway for another 25 minutes until you reach the small township of Warkworth. This journey will take approximately 50 minutes.
At Warkworth, turn right at the third set of traffic lights on State Highway 1. Follow the road signs to Goat Island Marine Reserve (the first marine reserve to be established in New Zealand). This 20 minute drive will take you through the beautiful Matakana vineyards and Whangateau districts on to Leigh.
Turn left at the Leigh General Store, this road will flow into Pakiri Road. Goat Island Dive & Snorkel is located just 700 metres from the Leigh General Store. You can spot our blue building on the right hand side, just past the Sawmill Café and Accommodation.
